Kathy will tell you that her career trajectory is akin to a jigsaw puzzle. She left a major NC-based national bank in 2005 as an Executive Vice President and became a nonprofit CEO. She learned that she enjoyed financial and business design turnarounds and served two nonprofits as CEO to do just that. These experiences inspired her to create LevRidge Resources, a consulting firm serving nonprofits through financial, business and leadership transitions.
Her passion was ignited when her path intersected with the founders of a national model, Executive Transition Management. She began to see the power of interim leadership within this successful model. Coincidentally, both Kathy and Bert Armstrong, independently began studying with the same national founders of this model at roughly the same time.
Kathy created a certification program for interim nonprofit executives and transition consultants that is now known as the Armstrong McGuire Interim Management Institute. Through her creation of the Institute, Kathy is recognized by her peers as a leader in the field of nonprofit executive transitions.
Kathy loves her friends and family, time at the beach and her rescue dog, Mabel, who is now a spoiled Uptown dog. Kathy has served on and led nonprofit boards including the Humane Society of Charlotte; Davidson College Friends of the Arts; Women’s Impact Fund; First Presbyterian Church (Outreach, Advocacy, and Anti-Racism committees), among others.
In 2022 LevRidge Resources merged with Armstrong McGuire.
