Beth Briggs is a leading voice for, and champion of, the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors across North Carolina and the Southeast region throughout her distinguished career. She provides leadership and guidance in every facet of nonprofit and foundation governance and stewardship including recruiting and training executive leaders and boards of directors, organizing and motivating volunteer campaign teams, and conducting strategic planning and fundraising workshops.
She counsels corporations, foundations, nonprofits and individuals seeking to maximize the impact of their philanthropy and is recognized as a consensus-builder with an ability to work with diverse leadership groups encompassing community activists, program participants, opinion leaders, and philanthropists.
Beth served as Executive Director of several nonprofit organizations including Dress for Success Triangle, the North Carolina Council for Women, and the North Carolina Public Television Foundation. She founded and served as President of Creative Philanthropy, providing philanthropic counsel to corporations, foundations, nonprofits, and individuals seeking to maximize the impact of their philanthropy. Her leadership in North Carolina's philanthropy sector helped focus institutional and individual donors on causes and initiatives that benefited their communities.
Beth’s leadership in the nonprofit and philanthropic sector extend beyond her professional work experiences. She serves on the Board of Directors of the A.J. Fletcher Foundation and has served on numerous local, state, and national boards. Beth is a recipient of many awards for her leadership and achievements in fundraising, diversity, and public service. She is a native North Carolinian and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
