Headlines sell, and as much as I don’t want to be a victim of a lead, several have grabbed my attention this month.
Do you ever have one of those days where all the dots connect? That happened to me on Monday. I started the day with an article from The Chronicle of Philanthropy showing that nonprofits are the third-largest employer in America with 11.9 million employees. I was so intrigued that I had to dig deeper.
I have a confession to make. I am extremely involved with an organization I care deeply about, and they don’t have a strategic plan. “Hi, my name is Mendi, and my favorite organization does not have a plan.”
For those of you who know me, or have read a prior blog, you know we welcomed chickens into our family last year. You have heard fun stories of naming the chickens, the one who ending up being a rooster, the day the fox came to dinner, and sequentially welcoming new chickens to the family! It’s been a fun ride and a great learning experience for my kids.
